Getting started
How do I join TanTaa?
TanTaa is coming to iPhone and Android. Join the waitlist from thehome page and we will send one email when the app is ready. There is no public sign-up on this website.
Is TanTaa free?
TanTaa is free to join. Optional TanTaa Plus and Premium memberships are planned for later. Membership is not live in the app yet.
How old do I need to be?
You must be at least 18. TanTaa is not for minors, and accounts that do not meet this requirement will be removed.
Account and sign-in
How do I sign in?
TanTaa uses Google or Apple sign-in through Supabase Auth. We never ask for your Google or Apple password inside TanTaa.
I did not receive a sign-in email
Check the spam folder and confirm the email address attached to your Google or Apple account. If the problem continues, email us and include the address you used.
How do I delete my account?

Friends and messaging
Why can’t I message someone?
Messaging opens only when you both follow each other. Send a friend request or follow from their profile. Once they follow back, the conversation unlocks.
Can I edit or delete a message?
You can edit a text message within one hour of sending it. You can delete your own message for everyone within one hour, or remove it from your own view at any time.
Why do read receipts change?
Read receipts can be hidden in settings. If someone hides their read receipts, you will not see when they read your message, and the same applies when you hide yours.
Safety and privacy
How do I block or report someone?
Open their profile, tap the options button, and choose Block or Report. Blocking removes the friendship and stops messages and calls. Reports are reviewed for safety. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Who can see my location?
Other members see an approximate distance, never your exact coordinates. You can hide distance in settings, and Ghost mode lets you browse without appearing online or leaving a profile-view trace.
How do I control calls?
In settings you can turn incoming calls off, choose who can call you, and limit calls to specific countries. These options are part of TanTaa Premium.
